Svt ablation

Svt ablation

I had ablation for svt in 2010 and I had to pick up records of the surgery for an upcoming appointment I have. I am looking them over and it says the day after the surgery my heart rate was reading 102 bpm and it says " sinus tachycardia, t wave abnormality, consider inferior ischemia, abnormal ECG"  and during the surgery they reported " during rf delivery acceleration and atrial fibrillation was noted" should I be concerned? The doctors never told me about any of this.

I would take this report to a cardiologist to review, they would be best to tell you what is going on but from what I have read the ECG finding is a broad one and whatever may have been going on with your heart at the time may have corrected itself.  From what I understand svts can stress out the heart a bit but once the issue is corrected the heart heals itself.  That said I would go get re-evaluated to see how your heart is now and also to address the afib notation because afib.  However, I recall you posting before that you had and ablation for svt but you weren't specific about what type of svt.  I wonder if it is possibly you were ablated for afib in 2010?  In any event, based on the symptoms you have stated in your previous post I would definitely be back in touch with your cardiologist regardless of what the reports says.  But take it to them and ask them to interpret it for you so you know what you are dealing with.  Take care and keep us posted on how you are doing.

How have you been since your ablation? The things mentioned were there the day after but I have been told that it can take months to settle down sometimes. During the actual surgery they induce arrythmias to locate the areas to ablate and the report reads to me that that's what happened,as it should. I'm not a medical person, but have had SVT's and PVC's on and off for years and have discussed and researched the ablation therapy with cardiologists and my doctors on a number of occasions.
See what the doc says, and if there's a doubt you might have another ECG to check, but if you have been OK it's probably all fixed itself as Michell......suggests. Don't be concerned. a couple of 'good ol boys' I know have had all this and they have settled down over time. Keep us posted.

Thanks so much! The surgery actually did not help at all. My problems have gotten worse. My heart rate is always above 100, I am easily fatigued and out of breath, I get dizzy and light headed and my vision goes black, I am going to the dr in the morning to see whats happening. I do have very low potassium levels as well
