Symptoms or Side Effects?

After thousands of dollars spent on doctors, I am convinced that there is an answer to the question, "Do I have symptoms or do I have side effects of my medications." The answer is, (Drum roll please)..."It doesn't matter."
Doctors treat symptoms and they don't care, well very few do, about your reaction to medications, after all it is keeping you alive, isn't it? I also have found that there are very powerful medications that we have cursing through our veins. I am telling you that I have stuff right now that alters how fast and how regular my heart beats. Can you believe it? Beta Blockers they call them. Under the best of conditions, these meds can only help us have a minimally qualitatively day some of the time.
So are we screwed. Nah. Stay tuned.

Beautiful dog, Jerry. I have the same kind myself and he makes my day, everyday. Nah, I don't want perfection, nor do I want to go back in time. I am a very lucky man.

I agree, some/most medications have some noticeable side-effects.  For example, Warfarin makes my bleed more freely if I get a cut or otherwise rupture a blood vessel.  But, if I keep the level just right, I don't bruise for no reason, or have gums that bleed if I brush too hard, and I don't form clots, so no stroke, GREAT!  I can live, even well, with the side effects and it keeps me alive and not a cripple.

I have some side effects too from Beta Blockers, but these too are minor, unless I feel I have go get back to long distance running (a past exercise) or other hard physical work.  Would I like to be able to do those things again, yes, but I'm happy to live without them if my condition and medication side-effects make it necessary.

Would I like to see a perfect fix, make my heart work like I was 20, or even 50 YO again,, yep, but that hasn't happened yet to my knowledge.
