I went to my EP when the Boston Scientific tech was there doing checks. The settings were changed from the output of the electrical. It was changed from 2.5 to 2. Also the auto check was turned off. Anyway, today I felt it but very minor. The EP assured me it was still within a safe range.
I feel better today. I did feel it once, but very minor. It's so much better. I'll see what future days bring.
I have a ICD/Pacemaker and sometimes I can feel my pacer kick in and out. At first I thought it was a lot of pvc`s but during a holter found out it was the pacer. You may want to talk to your doctor just to make sure all the settings are correct.
Thank you for the answer. I can imagine a difib would be felt when it shocks you. I've heard that before.
As far as this goes, I think people who are really heart aware feel it. I just don't think doctors really understand that.
I don't have one myself, but my uncle has one that is a PM and a defib. He feels when the defib. kicks in. He says it feels like someone is kicking him in the chest...he's never mentioned the PM part kicking in, or maybe it's all the same.
Hopefully someone with a similar cirumstance will give their insight soon. I feel every irregular beat I have and even some regular ones, so I'm certain I would feel a PM if I had one.
I think doctor's act that way because they don't always know exactly what the answer is.
I hope you find some answers and feel better soon!
I'm sorry, I don't know what PM stands for?
