To magnesium or not to magnesium

Hi people. I am pretty new to this but loving the support. I have started just started taking magensium and it has helped quite a bit. But just read somewhere in this forum that mag is not good for heartblock. my holter result mentioned some PVc and lots of PAC and intermittent wenckebach block. (Used to have racing heart but recently it is the opposite) Don't know if it is 1 or 2. Question is, can i continue the mag? I do feel some improvement. What about exercise? My gp reckons i should wait til I see cardio but surely moderate walking should be ok even if it triggers arrythmias. I also wonder if the lack of exercise will just make things worse. Sigh.

Hello Friends

had the ultrasound. The radiographer said that I have a mild leakage in valves. She said there is nothing one can do other than monitor and only the severe cases in australia get operated on. Sigh! Will have a few questions for cardio in 3 weeks. Is this related to wenckebach heartblock? Can i excersise. Walking on flat ground is mostly ok but did some very moderate excersise (squats and dancing) and my ticker was out of tock for 6 hours. I guess I will just have to wait til I see him. There I was convinced that the ultrasound would show nothing unusual.
Any ideas?

Good to hear that you've got the okay on the magnesium. I'll for sure check out that website. I love this site for all the help and ideas we give to each other. I'll be very interested in how your levels of mag turn out. I should get mine checked out. I'm taking Natural Calm mag with calcium and my heart is pretty calm. I had SVT and just had an ablation in June that got rid of it. Now I have PACs which are a little annoying but I can't complain compared to how others suffer.

When I exercise I usually have a few PACs and I just keep trucking along. Good advice to get the clear from your doctor. You'd think that you'd get enough of a workout being a mother and working in early childhood. I teach 5th grade and that is a workout most days. Your little ones can really give you a workout. But you don't get that good cardio. I walk on the treadmill for 20 min. a day for my cardio. It's all I have time for.

Hope you're feeling better.

Thank you merilee.
I found this excellent site
http://www.allexperts.com  Was able to ask retired cardio about Mag!!! He gave me the ok and told me to have my levels checked when I see cardio in 6 weeks.

Some ppl here excersise through the arrythmias but I guess I have to wait for the all clear.
Am unfit enough as it is (being a mother and working in early childhodd prevents a good cardio workout, but promising myself if things are ok I will kick myself into action.
Be well

Can't tell you whether you should or shouldn't take mag or exercise, but if your dr. suggests you wait, you might consider that. Just really listen to how you're feeling. When do you see the cardio?
