I have taken this med for several years and have a history of depression. Just recently my depression has become quite severe! I have decided to stopped this med! Any advice?

You really should talk to your doctor before stopping any meds.  They should never be stopped cold turkey.  If there is a medical need for the meds, like you have high blood pressure it probably isn't a great idea to stop but again talk to your doctor about if it is safe to stop the med and how to wean off of it.  There is a section on this site for depression   http://www.medhelp.org/forums/Depression/show/57  if you wanted to talk to others who struggle.  You aren't alone.  I know how hard it can be.  I wish you strength and hope to find recovery.  Hugs
