Trace of Mitral Vale Regurgitation

Trace of Mitral Vale Regurgitation

I was reading over my echo today and it said everything was normal...ef of 60 to 65 and a trace of mitral valve regurgitation...I have read that is nothing to be concerned about...what is your all's opinion?

I am asking because I have been told that if your heart is structurally sound then PVC's are of no concern either...should I be concerned that this trace of regurgitation will be affected by the PVC's?

Trace mitral valve regurgitation on an echo are low risk findings and even normal. An EF of 60-65% is excellent!

I've been told that trace, to even mild is considered "within normal limits" for two reasons: one is that the imaging is more accurate/sensitive than it used to be so it may pick up even slight variations, and two, depending on the interpreter, your images can be interpreted from trace to mild and not be considered anything significant. Hope that helps a little to put your mind at ease.
