Type 2 Arrhythmia post 2nd Afib ablation

by d0n1wag, Aug 03, 2008 01:34PM
Recently I had a second afib ablation and everything was fine for about a week. Then I got a burst of afib which went into flutter and my heart has been in flutter ( I think type 2) constantly for 10 days. I had 2 cardioversions and it goes back into flutter shortly after the conversions. My question is: Statistically, does it make any difference in the probability of success if the post afib ablation flutter is paroxysmal or permanent. I know that transient flutter is not uncommon after an afib ablation but since this has lasted 10 days I am getting very concerned.
