Ventricular Ectopic Beats

by Cadaver, Jun 11, 2009 05:16PM
after a 24 hr holter monitor the findings wereSinus rhythm is present with a heart rate of 68 BPM and a minimum 53 BPM.
Ventricular ectopic beats totaled 23,432. Superventricular ectopic beats totaled 46. Question is: how many within a 24 hr period are too many..23,432 sounds like quite a few..

Yes, that is quite a few. In fact, that is about every third beat so it's almost like you have a junctional rhythm (originating from a place other than the SA node). What did your doc say?
