I am 55 Female. Am having very HOT spells, not really hot flashes, been there 12 years ago. This is different. Have been to Gyno, Neuro, had many blood tests and physical. Everything came back normal. They can not figure out why I am having these HOT spells so many times a day and night. I have started getting dizzy now, after about 3 months of Hot spells. Some headaches..Heavy pressure feeling in my right side of my head. More dizzy when I lean to the right also. Any ideas? Please help.
Seems to me it could be heart related, didn't your Gyno or Neuro (do you have a "general" primary care too?) suggest seeing a cardiologist? Did either even make basic tests of you heart - of course they must have listened with a stethoscope but even an expert "ear" can't hear some electrical problems, I believe..
Shortness of breath and dizziness are more common in my experience than are hot spells when one's heart isn't getting sufficient oxygen to our organs - stiff and painful muscles when just walking is also a symptom I am familiar with.
My AFib affect on my heart rhythm which can easily be heard (stethoscope) - so my problem is easy to detect, then an EKG shows the electrical details that confirms AFib.
Sorry if I wander off your question: simple suggestion is see a general family/primary care doctor or better a cardiologist.
It would be helpful to know what your resting heart rate and blood pressure is. Also, if you can feel/hear any irregularity in the pulse repetition.
