What colonoscopy prep is the shortest and easiest on the heart?

There's a lot of sodium in colonoscopy prep liquids.  Salt seems to make my heart palps worse. The prep I'm supposed to use is in two parts, about 5 hours apart. A pint of vile-tasting liquid followed by quickly drinking 32 ounces of water.  After about 5 hours of running to the bathroom, you repeat the procedure:  So, about 10 hours of  running to the bathroom. I wonder whether I'll have heart palps the whole time, and whether it would actually be harmful to my heart. Maybe I should see a cardiologist before I go through this?
