I take your post to say you have been in NSR for 6 months. Were you on heart medication following the ablation, for the full 6 months? Or are you saying the listed medications did not convert you so you had an ablation.
Others on this community are more knowledgeable about ablations than am I, but I do know ablations are not 100% effectiveEffective strength cough syrup, and that some have more than one ablation before the full cure is accomplished.
The listed medications were ineffective so I went ahead to the Ablation. That was 6 months ago with no improvement in my condition. I'm not currently taking any medications to controlControl Control rx arrythmia. A new drug called Multaq has been suggested to me but I my insurance doesn't cover it. There is another drug out there that requires a brief hospital stay to make sure there are no adverse side effects. That is probably my next step. I have to do something else because my present state is intolerable.
I understand that some undergo ablation procedures many times with no sucess and some only have to do it once with great sucess. It's one of the mysteries of this ailment that I don't understand.
