What should I do?

Hello everyone,well earlier I had talked to a lot of you about how I would be getting health insurance within the month..well bad news,It will be more like 2 to 3 months!!!!(its a long story).I found this out yesterday,and I have to admit ruined my day.I had been trying to be positive because I knew SOOn I would be able to see a cardio and I could get the help I needed.Now knowing its going to be so much longer,I just feel completly doomed.My heart has been acting up so badly and I feel like the V tach I am having is going to  end up killing  me.(I know...I shouldnt say that..)but that is how I feel...Its seems like im not going to get the help I need in time...What is so discouraging is when you dont have insurance and you are feeling symptomatic,you go to the e.r.(by that time im out of v tach)and throwing pvcs around with a extremly high pulse..Im not seen for hours....Then when i am seen,I tell them my history ect,and they refer me to a cardio.(this just happend less then a month ago).I call the cardio and they cant see me because I dont have insurance,(oh wait but they do except full payment in cash!!!!!!!!)...So then im just at square one...Sorry to ramble on and on,it just feels better to vent about it to people who know what im going through,maybe not the insurance part but the part about how scary it is!So now Im thinking I need to go to County Hospital....make a appointment with a physician,who will then refer me to a cardio...In the meantime I would appreciate all the prayers I could get :)

I understand your pain, I think that our healthcare system is so screwed up that people like you, who could be at serious risk of dying (not to scare you, but you should DEFINATELY be under the care of a physician) are unable to get the medical attention they need b/c they can't afford it. NO ONE should have to fear death b/c they can't pay for preventive care. I will be praying for you, just know that you are not alone, we are all here to support you in whatever way that we can.

Thank you so much for your prayers:) Im just hoping I can surpass the 2 more months before insurance without racking up another 6,000 dollar e.r. bill...geez louis can you believe that?All for just an ekg,and blood tests!That right there will make you have pvcs lol!

i dont understand the system over there in ireland if u go to the er like that u are just kept in and seen by the cardio team and they will either put u on meds or operate depending on the situation u went in for.if u have insurance all the better but if it important like yours sound it would be seen
if u are going to wait for the insurance look after yourself i an sure u will be ok
i dont know what else to say as i dont know how the med system works where u are

Oh here you go to the e.r and your seen and made sure you are "stable".The bad thing is your reffered to specialist that you cant see if your without insurance..Also we do not just have a cardio on hand,they will only page the on call one if they feel its needed!!!!!So weeks ago when I did go,I wasnt even seen by a cardio,just a reg doc whom told me how scary my situation must be..then reffered me to a cardio place..which I called and was told they werent excepting new patients and since I didnt have insurance they really couldnt help me..And that if I have the sypmtoms again to go back to the e.r.....???(a lot of good that did:) I think it would really help if they paged the on call cardios more often,then that way people like me (without insurance)can still be put on some sort of cardiac drug to help...

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that I KNOW exactly how you feel!! I too have no insurance.....I'm presently unemployed....well I'm employed...but waiting for verification that I'm a CNA so I can start working as a CMA.....but anyways....until than....no insurance....and it seems like everyday....my heart does something different....most of the time....it feels like "skipped" beats...regular beat.....skipped....regular....than sometimes....it feels like my heart can't get a regular sinus rhythm....almost like a "quivering".....very scary!!! I've had several holtors...ekgs...echos....but nothing significant shows up....just your everyday "run" of the mill PVC and PACS.....
The last scary thing that happened to me was....I'm sitting and talking to my cousin...nothing on my mind....than BAM...my heart started beating all funky...the rhythm....so irregular...like it couldn't get a good sinus going...it last a bout 2 or 3 minutes...and my throat felt like somebody was cutting off my air supply....I couldn't get any oxygen....needless to say I was scared...and I have no insurance!!

how come the reg doc wont give a cardic meds to help with symptoms
u are a brave lady if it were me i would keep going back until they paged cardio its not nice to be suffering and worrying like that which just leads to more anxiety
