When taking pulse after exercise I feel skiped beat

Hello

I am an active 35 yr old female in good shape.  I exercise 4 - 5 times per week with regular cardio and weights.  I use albuterol prior to exercise for exercise induced asthma.  After I run sometimes I take my pulse and I feel a skipped beat.  There will be regular beats, then a long one.  I do not feel it in my chest, just on my wrist where I take my pulse.  It seems to happen every 10 - 20 beats for an hour or so after I exercise.  Is this dangerous?  I have been doing research online and it appears skipped beats in the recovery phase is more likely to cause sudden death.  I do not have heart disease and my maternal grandfather had heart disease.  Is the danger there when you have a heart deffect or just in general when having the skipped beats in recovery.  I also have a lot of acid reflux and take medication with that. When running, it can stir up some acid.  I am not sure if that also has something to do with it.  I appreciate your help.

PVCs in the recovery phase of exercise correlate to an increased risk of cardiovascular events.  Skipped beats can be either premature atrial beats (pac's) or premature ventricular contractions (pvc's).  The only way to know is see them on a monitor.  PVCs during the recovery phase are not a modifiable risk factor for heart disease -- there is nothing you can do to control it, unlike smoking, cholesterol, hypertension and diabetes.

I would talk to your doctor about it.  Let them decide if it needs to be worked up further.  It sounds like you are otherwise pretty healthy from your description.
