Will Hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) lose effectiveness after a certain number of years

I have been taking Lisinopril and Hydrochlorothiazide (HTCZ) for high blood pressure since May 2007.
Recently I have a feeling that the Hydrochlorothiazide is not working as it used to be.
Will HCTZ lose its effectiveness after a certain number of years?
Anyone know the answer or having similar experience, please let me know.

All medications have the potential to "poop out" or stop working for people sometimes.

Sometimes you can get a batch that has lower absorption rates or potency.  Sometimes medicine batches can be made incorrectly and not dissolve in your gut.

All sorts of stuff can happen.

Discuss this with your doctor.
