Worried

I have been sick the last couple days with pleurisy coupled with a cold. But something else has seemed to surfaced and i don't know if its connected or not. I have noticed that, usually at night when its quite enough in my house to hear, i run up the stairs after getting ready for bed, i prop my pillow up behind me and get on my laptop. My heart is beating a little above normal from me hopping up the steps, I hear a clicking noise/nocking noise emitting from my chest. Usually it is only when i breath out i can really hear it. Im only 19 years old and really have no clue what it could be, i told my mom but i don't think she believes me so i had to ask someone else.

If you have pleurisy it could be the rubbing sound you hear from your lungs/chest. When my asthma flares up I can hear moaning or squeaks from my chest when I exhale. Pretty odd. Try taking the stairs more slowly, generally take it easy until your cold and pleurisy clears up. And with your lungs involved your stamina will be down a bit. The usual daily exertion will strain your heart more than normal and it will beat harder. Most likely it settles down in a few minutes though. Just rest up.
