I agree. I use ventolin for my asthma and it raises my heart rate for about 10-15 minutes. Not a big deal. Did they mention a pacemaker to keep your heart rate up to a good speed? How slow is your heart rate? When do you go back for a follow-up appointment?

Ventolin is the brand name for Albuterol. This medication is used for people who have breathing problems like asthma etc. Not sure why the Dr would be using this to treat bradycardia. It can make the heart rate faster when using, but it is usually short lived and I personally have never heard of it being used for your particular problem. If I were you, I'd ask specifically why you have been given this medication. Do you also have asthma or emphysema?
