Good luck with your ablation...I had a SVT ablation on February 11th of this year and I feel absolutely wonderful... it is not a difficult procedure and you'll be fine.  If you have any questions, please let me know.

hey, well my ablation did not go as planned and i have spent most of a month depressed about it. they placed me on meds and that reacted negatively with my body. my svt trigger is located on the left side and we had not dicussed added complications of going through the aorta. do you know of anyone who has had a left side ablation through the aorta:? my svts are back and worse.
thanks

I'm so sorry to hear about your issues with your ablation. Over 90% of the people who have them, have no problems, but there are risk involved in all procedures.  It appears that you may have had a special case,  because that isn't the norm for AVNRT.  Did you talk to your doctor prior to the ablation to discuss your case and the possible complications?  The indepth conversation I had with my doctor about my SVT was so positve.

Your case sounds so much more complicated and I wouldn't begin to know about going through the arota...I do know the left side carries more risk than going in on the right side.

I can relate to the meds reacting negatively...that is one of the reasons why I opted for an ablation.

SVT is a disorder that can depress you....it did depress me until I decided to do something about it.....you are tyring to do something to rid yourself of SVT and that is a good thing.  Ablations are done for many rhythm issues and most are very successful, I'm sorry that it didn't rid you are SVT.

Best wishes,
Rose
