abnormal ekg

Hello,
I have had open heart surgery twice.  The last one was in August of 2008.  I had a hole repaired and my pulmonary valve replaced.  In March of 2010, a recheck revealed three leaking valves, but not significant enough for action yet.
Recently, I have felt exhausted, experiencing chest pressure, and some fainting spells.  I had an ekg ran last monday and the read out said:
+minor high lateral repolarization disturbance
+left axis deviation
+moderate interaventricular conduction delay
+low qrs voltage in precordial leads
+LV overload

I live a long way from my cardiologist and although my local doctor is very nice and competent, they have had a hard time explaining results.  Any ideas what some of this could mean?  I am trying to avoid making an un-needed trip to St. Louis.

I'm always careful with interpreting EKG results, because that's something a doctor should do. My best advice is to show the EKG to a doctor, not just the interpretation, but the entire EKG.

Anyway, you have asked your question on a patient community and I would assume you accept answers from lay people, so I'll give it a try.

Some of the description may indicate that your left ventricle is enlarged or hypertrophied (though this would usually not manifest with low QRS voltage, but it may). Leaking valves may be strenous to the heart chambers and may predispose for this condition.

I assume you've recently had an ultrasound of the heart done. If you do, the cardiologist may rule in or rule out any structural damage to the left ventricle. If you haven't, I would recommend that you ask your doctor about this.
