I don't know about any particular test you could have, but I think if you got in to expert in the field like someone who specialized in endocronologist(spelling?) you might find answers. In the meantime keep track of what you eat and drink. It is surprising what different kinds of foods and drinks can do. Good luck and keep us posted.
Adrenaline is used during an electrophysiology procedure to to provoke your heart into arrhythmia.
Hi
Thanks for your comments, I do get daily palpitations at the moment some just every now and then and some lasting hours. I have had them looked at and am told they are common and nothing to worry about. (easy to say)
Do you know of a test I should ask for to check chemical / adrenaline imbalance or is that something picked up in a normal blodd test ?
Oh yeah! Like viperron, the epinephrine makes my heart pound, I get the sweats, and shakes. My dentist doesn't use it on me anymore. I also get the heart pounding when eating or drinking certain things like too much caffeine (1 dr. pepper max), msg is a big culprit, eating too many carbs especially in the morning, cold meds, generally aspirin ( I can take 1 baby aspirin), ....
Along with the pounding heart I get heart arrythmias and racing (until ablation).
If it is really bothersome, start a diary of what you're eating, drinking, activities, and see if you can make connections to those and the pounding heart.
There is no doubt in my mind you are correct. For years I would go to the dentist and a few seconds after getting a shot of epinephrine I would go crazy, now I never get it in my shots and haven't had one problem since at the dentist office, The problem it took years to figure it out, I would have thought that the dentist would have figured it out but that would have been too much to expect
Are you suffering from palpitations? If so, have you noticed any of the triggers?
My cardiologist did say that "catecholamines" cause palps. Adrenaline is one.
Look it up. Good luck.
