alternative to the drug cordarone

my father suffers from irregular heartbeat. so his heart doctor prescribed him cordarone. he has been taking it for over a year. recently, his blurred and cloudy vision has worsened, and he only recently found out that it could be the drug that's causing it. he decided to stop the cordarone, without talking to his doctor, because the latter told him that there was no way that the cordarone can be causing this (and i know now that it can, from researching it online). my question is: is there another drug that can replace cordarone for the treatement of irregular heartbeat?
thank you for your help.

Hello.

Yes, there is. But IT'S EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that this is discussed with his doctor.

Amiodarone (Cordarone) is one of the drugs with most side effects. However, it's only prescribed for serious conditions, and you should NOT advice him to change his medications, the right thing to do is telling him to see his doctor!!!

Some medications can cause life-threatening side effects if the treatment is stopped abruptly. Cordarone is the strongest antiarrhythmic drug on the market. We're not talking about aspirin here!

Ask your father to see a doctor. Today. Our research online can't by any means replace a doctors opinion. I'm serious here.
