I took 4 days off of running and did 4 miles today, and today it was worse, it scared me terribly, i had that same air bubble feeling but it felt more like a thump with each skipped beat and it happened at least 20 times in 15 to 20 minutes after running. I think I had that airbubble feeling while i was running but i wasn't checking my pulseNeck pulse Pulse Pulse - bounding Pulse - weak or absent Radial pulse Takayasu arteritis Taking your carotid pulse so i can't be sure i skipped any beats. after running it felt like this: lub dub, skipped beat as i'm feeling that airbubble/thump, lub dub - it happened about 20 times in 15-20 minutes( less frequency as the minutes passed)
also fortunately i hooked up with this website which has helped
anybody out there experience these feelings?
i'm 41 femaleCondoms Female condoms Female sexual dysfunction running for 23 years, no risk factors for cardiac disease, resting HR in low 60's, HR during these episode is elevated b/c of exercise but consistent, bp 110/70
i'm afraid to run anymore but it is a big part of my life.
why would this happen all of a sudden? is it a serious rhythm problem?
I'm reminded of the funny line: patient: it hurts when I do "this", doctor: don't do "that".
Have you had the stress test yet? Seems, following the above advice, that it could be a good idea not to run until you get through your heart examination and get a final diagnosis.
Your symptoms are not known to me, so I am sorry to say I can't give any first-hand advice.
i have the holter monitor, i made them give it to me today - i ran up the steps and rode the stationary bike and was able to bring them on so the ecg would capture it - but that's it for running until my stress test - too scary
ran into a cardiologist, a reknown MD, worked on clinton - said it could be a few things but sounded most like APCs- they happen in 60% of adults, they r noticed in warming down after exercise, brought on by adreniline, mine r like that = but of course i feel them at rest now - it is consuming me
she asked if the beat after the skipped beat was stronger which would be more of a pvc, but i don't notice that
she'll do the stress test for me when i return late next week from vacation - some vacation - i'll probably worry all the time, but at least i do not have to wait 3 weeks
