Thnx very much for the posts. Xizzor, I think you are right about tachycardia being due to over-sensitive heart. However, it seems to be emotions rather than food that causes my inflamation- and I find emotions more difficult to control than food.
Jerry, I read of this herb on an ayurveda site- Most alopaethic doctors would probably not know much about it. However, your caution about trying out new herbs is well taken, since I am not sure how reliable Ayurveda is when it comes to the heart.
Aylish, I am taking 900 mg of omega3 fish oil daily, and am wondering if I should increase dosage?
Thnx again and with best wishes,
Malan
my cardiologist recomends 1000 mg fish oil daily to treat my ectopics etc and to help lower slightly raised cholesterol
All herbs should be used with caution and if you are taking any medications you should discuss you herb plans with the doctor who prescribed the medication. This will likely result in a negative reaction by your doctor, and that may not be enough to prevent you from trying, but it the doctor say absolutely no, then the answer is no in my mind.
Good luck,
Maybe some people react good to what you will react badly to.
The way I see, my body did not have any problem with PVC's and tachycardia's at a younger age and I didn't take any "heart healthy herbs and supplements" back then... so why would my body need them now?
It's better to work on the cause rather than the symptoms. But if you can't find the cause, then working on the symptoms is all you can do I guess.
I hope you find something that works.
Recently, I've been thinking about trying some kind of anti-inflammattory diet. If PVC's and tachycardia's happen because an oversensitive heart, then subtle inflammation might be caused by foods perhaps.
