I agree we cannot answer the question as to whether or not it is AV block because so many other factors figure into this and self diagnosis can literally be deadly for anyone in trying to figure out what it is and how to handle it not to mention the fact of scaring the bejesus out of yourself.  I think it sounds like you took this situation from A to Z in under  60 seconds here and the only sure fire way to know is to make and appt. w your family doc and start the ball rolling there and if he/she feels you need an appt. w. a heart doc then they'll give you a referral.  Palpatations in themself are usually no biggie and millions of people have them and most don't even know that it is happening.  Our hearts naturally does have pauses thru out the cycle because it is a pump and the pump cannot just tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap without pause or it would wear itself out.....i would get checked if you have other symtoms along with your palps and actually even if you don't just to set your mind at ease...it'll be the best spent 50.00 you ever took out of your wallet....good luck

You mention 9 years, has your condition ever been diagnosed by a medical doctor?  If not, and the palpitations are continuous or frequent a check up with a doctor would be a good idea.
