I had mine done at UMass out in Worcester, MA.  What is your EP procedure for?

No problem.  You had the state right!

Donna, have you met with the electrophysiologist yet?  There are a number of active members that have gone thru the procedure, and we'd be glad to answer any questions that you may have regarding it.

I did a lot of research and B & W is a great place for an ablation.  I have an appointment with Dr. Lawrence Epstein.  I think he is really good.

Well Im going in for cryoablation for atrial tach. The doctors name is william stevenson. He was referred by my cardiologist in schenectady,ny.I had previously went in for the ep study to have an rf ablation, but my doctor didnt want to risk doing it because it was near the av node.So hes sending me here.Im just nervous because I dont want to end up with a pacemaker or end up with other arrhythmias. What was yours for?

Mine was for a form of SVT called Circus Movement Tachycardia; a funny name for a circular or looping pathway that the electrical activity took.  It's a type of AVRT. I was first thought to have had Wolff Parkinson White Syndrome and it's closely associated to it.  But they discovered the CMT during the electrophysiology study.

I hope it goes well for you, and that you'll leave B&W a new person!  If I can be of any help, or if you wish to discuss the procedure, we're always around.  I can't be of much help with regards to the Boston area.  I live 60 miles west in central Massachusetts, and only go into the city when I have to!
