cardiac testing?

helo everyone,i am 25 years old male, since october 2009 i have been having lightheadeness and palpitations daily,i have done a lot of Ekgs, complete blood count at the ER but they couldnt find anything wrong, the ekg did show Sinus tachycardia at the beats of 110s - 140s max..after 3 hours wait at the ER where my blood work came back negative and the ER doc sent me home and say probably its just anxiety and he refer me to see a cardiologist just to make sure its nothing because one of my ekg show possible LVH written on the ekg by the machine but he dosent seems concerned as my BP was normal most of the time around 117/70 most of the time. The cardiologist did run an Exercise ECG Stress test twice and it came back normal in october 2009 and again in january 2010 as i kept complaining dizziness do get worse when i exercise but the second stress test came back good, the cardiologist said BP response were good during exercise.Twice 24 hour holter done in the space of 2 months also came back normal just sinus tachycardia.Tilt table test also shows nothing, but sinus tachycardia 130bpm and bp was normal. So the cardiologist said its probably anxiety but when i told him i do not feel anxious during this symptoms,he seems unsure,so my quesitons is :

1) Do i need to have another echo ? my last one was november 2009,could some valve or structural changes occur during this 1 year plus period?

2) Maybe another holter monitoring? or ekg stress test?

3) Despite all those lots of Ekgs, blood test, ekg stress test, echo, holter and tilt table test, could the cardiologist and ER doctors missed out some serious cardiac problem

Thanks,i know this is a long post, but i need some opinion before going back to see my GP again.

Hello,

While this may be of little comfort, you share the same symptoms as many people on this site.  Hows the stress level in your life ?  Consider stessors that may add up over time.  The vagus nerve can cause all kinds of trouble, and is often affected by long term stress. Google arrhythmia and vagus nerve for weeks and weeks of reading.  If you suspect stress, again, google and read.  Also, hows the stomach ?  Acid reflux can cause stomach and esophogus issues, which can also affect the V nerve.  Good luck.

With minor variations our symptoms and testing are similar....mine is episodic benign PAC's/PVC's and all tests come back normal.  Had a CTA yesterday - CT scan with dye - and will know results in a week, nothing obvious.  I think we are looking for reasons for and reassurance that the palpitations aren't life threatening.  While I like receiving negative results as a scientist I seek answers.  For some reason palpitations can be idiopathic.  I wouldn't necessarily repeat any of the tests and my advice is to do every non-invasive study you can do, do a  CT scan.  Remember what we perceive as serious to cardiologists is everyday reality.  Good Luck.
