cardiomyopathy and pac's

I was recently diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy.  My question is the only reason they found it was because my biggest complaint was palpatitions and skipped beats.  Now since I have be diagnosed I have been put on coreg and the symptoms have not gotten any better they have gotten worse it is so bad that I am having trouble sleeping.  They are very strong I'm not sure if they are pvc's or pac's.  My question is are they related to the cardiomyopathy and can they make it worse and is there something they can do to make them better.

Most common cause for dilated cardiomyopathy in young people is an infection. What does your doctor suspect?

I don't think PACs can cause cardiomyopathy as they are conducted to the heart chambers the same way normal beats are.

It is important to know, by the way, that if you had a sudden "explosion" in the number of PACs and PVCs, something may have affected the heart (like an infection) that may also cause cardiomyopathy. I don't know which cardiomyopathy you are diagnosed with (dilated, hypertrophic, ischemic, etc..) so your question is a bit difficult to answer, in addition I'm not an expert.
