chest pain, anxiety, Gerd

Hello my name is Susan. I've been having chest pain for a wk now. I was admitted to the hospital last wenseday for having chest pain and my EKG reading was abnormal. I had an echo done and a stress echo done and they both showed negative, but my EKG reading was still showing abnormal. I was dischargered thursday. I was feeling fine, and on friday i went back to the hospital for the same problem {chest pain}. This time the doctor said I had GERD. It feels like something is in my thorat and it wont come out. when I burp i taste an acid flavor in my mouth, and it makes my chest hurt and, its hard for me to sleep at night. Somtimes I feel like im haveing a heart attack, because the pain is so intense. Yesterday I went back for the same problem and this the doctor said I had anxiety and Gred, but my EKG reading was still reading the same. Should i be worried about this even though the x-ray, ehco, stress echo, and my blood work turned out negative? What about my Gerd and anxiety? Could that be the cause of my EKG reading being abnormal? Plz im worried that the doctor sent me home because I have no health insurance and i really do believe that there is something wrong with me. I have never felt this way in my life. I also havent had a valve movement. Could that be casued of all the medication that they had given me? Right now I feel like there is a big air bubble in my thoart (esopahgus) and it wont go away even when I burp. How long will i feel this way?

I'm not a doctor, but sounds like gerd to me.  I used to get that feeling in my throat but it was like a suffocating feeling.  It was awful.  If I would turn my neck it would get worse.  Sometimes I get chest pains with it too.  I was put on protonix and within 6 weeks I felt much better.  EKG's can read abnormal even if your heart rate is high, or you are throwing pvc's.    It is good that your stress test was normal.  What does the doctor say the reason for the abnormal ekg is?  You should ask him.  Maybe he can help calm your fears over that.

Did the doctor perscribe some reflux medicine for you?  You can get prilosec over the counter, but it didn't help me.  Gaviscon used to help.  That is also over the counter.
You mentioned "all the medication they gave you".  Just curious as to what they gave you.
