my dad is experiencing chest pain for about the past month. it has been 16 months since his bypass surgery. what does this mean?

He should see his cardiologist for evaluation.  If he is having active pain, he should go the the emergency room for evaluation.

It might mean that one of his bypass grafts is having a problem, but the only way to know is for a functional study like  stress test or a heart cath.  He should be evaluated soon.  If you have questions, you should call the doctor on for your cardiologists office to see if they recommend that you go to the hospital now.

Thanks for posting.
