constanrt pac s

I had an episode of svt in June. Given adenosine to stop it. Then prescribed Toprol XL to keep heart rate low. It seems that I have pacs every day. Yesterday it was constant for about 9 hours. About one per minute. My chest feels like it is quaking, makes me fearfull, nauseous, generally weak. Saw cardiologist yesterday, we both wonder if Toprol is making situation worse. It's never been this constant before. I have another appointment in a month. At that point we'll decide if I want to go on verapamil instead of Toprol. I really hate that drug but maybe that's the answer. Has anyone else had a problem with Toprol?

Topral makes you very tired. I was on only the topral and still having pvc everyday.I have a history VT. My cardio Dr put me on Verapamil too and it def. stops the pvcs for me

My blood pressure is low by nature so I was very apprehensive at first. I am fine talking both. Get out of breath sometimes but I can handle that better than the pvcs/pacs.

Ask you Dr about taking low dosages of both.

Yes, I was put on Toprol for SVT once, and I too have a low B/P to start with.  It made me lightheaded and faint.  Right now I am trying Metoporolol succinate ER 25 mg tabs.  I cut the dose in half and take it every other day.  I am doing this until I have an ablation.  It seems to be help with my episodes of SVT.  Maybe you can ask your doctor if this is something you can consider.
