coughing causing pvc

Hi. I was able to find posts about pvc causing a cough, but my question is if others have strong pvcs WHEN they cough--like from a cold?

I have that too-that is actually the most common! I just recently started pvcs during a cough though--like you--most people cough because of them.

I am just the opposite. When I have PVCs, it makes me want to cough and sometimes I do. It usually depends on how intense they are. The more intense, the more I cough. My husband knows if I am having a bad episode by how much I am coughing. It can be so darn annoying. Heck...PVCs are annoying. They are driving me crazy. Presently, I am keeping a log to try to determine if there are any triggers for me. Wish me luck.

I really hope I didn't offend you or Lisa with my post. If I did, it wasn't at all the intention.

My point was that we shouldn't read up on scary diseases, and believe we have them just because some symptoms match. Especially in the setting of PVCs or PACs, because we all know that being afraid will make them increase.

A classic example is rabies. This disease starts with slight headache and irritability. In other words, something we all may experience. But luckily, we don't all have rabies.

The same goes for PVCs. Everyone have a PVC now and then, some of us have thousands of them and some of us have just a few. But cardiomyopathy is really uncommon.

Don't let the exception be a rule. This is important.

I always heard that.  But I can be fine just bopping along in perfect rhythm and cough really hard or gag and off my heart goes.  Happened to me last year too when I had a stomach virus.  Asked my EP and he said it's not unusual but didn't elaborate.

Bbxx my heart doc told me years ago that when we cough during rhythm issues that it is the bodies natural way of attempting to reset the electrical of our hearts...which makes alot of sense to me...just a thought....

I just am getting over a horrible bout of coughing...think I had the flu.  Anyway, a couple of times I coughed so hard I gagged...sent me into what I think was Afib.  Stopped on it's own thank god after a few minutes.  That happened to me twice.  So yes, coughing and gagging sets me off, that's for sure.

Hmmm, when I cough hard, right in the middle of my cough I will have a pvc. I wonder if my cough just happens to land on a pvc or if the cough causes one. I am interested to hear what others say alsol

If I'm coughing, then I can't feel my heart doing its thing. If I rock in a rocking chair, my heart will start dancing a bit. It just feels out of sync. If I'm sick, my heart will act up more. Maybe that's what's causing yours to misbehave.
