dry cough for 5 months

by indigokim, Apr 14, 2009 06:55PM
I have had this dry cough following a cold for about 5 months. I feel a fluttering sensation in my chest just before having to cough. I had an ECG done and the doctor says that I have PVC and this could cause the coughing. I am 44 years old, could this be a symtom of perimenopause? What can I do to get rid of this nagging coughing? Does it go away on its own?

Hello. I am 29 and deal with heart flutters all the time. When i go to take a deep breath just before coughing i can feel my heart flutter, also if i am very cold and shivering it will cause it to flutter. I have never heard that pvc can cause a dry cough though. Are you sure you dont have some kind of seasonal allergy that could be causing the cough? Could your home enviroment maybe be to dry? I am not so sure that it would be a symptom of perimenopause. Hope this helped
