I have frequent heart palpations. Are they caused by mitral valve prolaspe ? It has been suggested they may be caused by the 1000 mills of niacin-nonflushing that I take. What do you think?

Hi i read your post......i don't know confu there are so many articles written on niacin-nonflushers and specifically what comes to mind is what i have read from a cardio. doc Dr. William D. who has a site he posts on about niacin and the heart.  It is a personal choice for each of us with what we put into our bodies.....as far as MVP causing palps....i think that it depends on the severity of you prolapse...for many if the is minimal leakage there is usually no problem and alot of docs don't even treat it....it've had mine since junior high and now i am 56 unfortunately since a couple of weeks ago...man o man where did time fly?  My thought is that are you currently seeing a heart doc for some guidance here with all of these issues and questions?  If not i wouldn't put anything into my body w. a pre existing heart issue with out their okay...thats why they make the big bucks....good luck to you as for the MVP and palps i personally think its kind of doubtful.....
