heart murmur v microcurrent facial

I have thyrotoxicosis. I also have a heart murmur linked to this. Can I safely have microcurrent facials?

I loved your post because i had the same question about 4 years ago when i had some pretty major issues w my heart before it was corrected.  I had to call my doc and ask them if it was okay as well...the only advice that they gave me was when i was having anything to do w. the body and electrical current was involved to if possible have a doc do it like a plastic surgeon. My doc said that there are people on every corner that are practicing physical appearance wellness treatments and to be careful who i chose.  He said that it is such low levels of current that is used on the face that in MOST instances there aren't issues but i did not like that word MOST and went from the idea of the spa setting to the plastic surgeons and was surpised to find out that he used novacaine on my face to numb me before the procedure.  I didn't have any issues but everyone is different.  The one thing that i was warned to stay away from was body wraps...that is a big no no if you have heart issues.....i would check w. my doc just to be sure...i tend to agree w. my doc...most spa employees i believe are trained in CPR as a part of their licenses however it is basic CPR not advanced or ACLS....i chose not to take the chance but loved the results for the six months after the treatment was done...i just don't take chances....good luck
