For about a year now my heart as been either racing or skipping beats, it started out not being on any regularRegular insulin basis but has progessed into an every day event.I wore a monitor for a month and have had several EKGsAtrioventricular block, ekg tracing Ecg Exercise stress test, they have found where it is doing numerous things. I tried the beta blockers, but my blood pressurePressure ulcer is always so low anyways that they all cause bad problems. I can't get any sleep because it gets worse it seems when I lay down, not that it's not bad all the time, because it is. I don't use any caffeineCaffeine Caffeine anhydrous Caffeine citrate Caffeine-acetaminophen Caffeine-ergotamine or smoke. I have been making sure to get as much exercise as I possible can, I walk on the treadmill every eveningEvening primrose Evening primrose oil, I take a vinigar solution and alot of different vitamins are that suppose to be good for the heart and help with this sort of thing. I am very frightened of dying from this, so I know my stress level gets pretty high when I'm having these problems, so I do take some ativan for that...it doesn't seem to really help with the heart problems. I also take some medications on a regular basis,a muscle relaxer and some prescription pain medication. I was wondering if the medications could be the problem and if it's going to hurt me if I continue to take them.
Hi there. Your not alone. I too have been having skipped beats for the last year. Lately they have been non-stop for the last three weeks. I take fish oil, magnesium, vitamins etc but it also doesn't seem to help. I haven't gone the beta blocker route yet. I do take an ativan when it gets bad as it seems to relax me a bit. Are you over stessed lately? Stress and anxiety seems to me may be the cause for these ectopic beats in some peolple. I can't figure out why some of us are more prone to this. Hope you feel better.
