heart rate of 50's after 2 months f healthy eating and exercising

hi

my normal heart rate is above 70s and below 80s, but for the past few months i have had lw heart rate of 50s and early 60s

i have high mildly high cholestrol and fatty liver, had been told to lose weight and eat healthy, quit smoking ( didnt smoke much) stop caffene, sugars, fizzy drinks, fatty foods, junk food.

i had made these changes, for a month i was running every day for maybe 30 min to 50 min a day, i had lost a stone in a month, my cholestrol has come down alittle, but my heart rate has come down to the 50s and 60s used to be in the 70s and 80s

is that normal?

i do get heart palptations somtimes, but i believe it could be partially due to being anxious/depressed. unsure.

i have had a ekg/ecg  4 times and it is fine

i heard athletes have a low heart rate, but i havent really exercised all my life, i look physically very fit as in my fat has almost disappeared, could it be possible the diet and exercise has altered my heart rate to low as 50s in a short time within 2 months? or can it be somthing else systematic?

thank you

Sounds about right to me for the lifestyle changes you made.

Your body is demanding almost 20,000 less heart beats per day because it's healthier.  This will surely add years to your heart health if it's maintained.

It's amazing what eating well and mild exercise can do.  Or I should say, it's scary how much modern foods and sedentary lifestyles can harm us.

Kudos to you, keep up the good work.  I made this change in my lifestyle about 2 years ago and I refuse to ever go back.  My energy levels are amazing, the depression is gone, my outlook is better and my general health has improved. and...it's saving me money :-)

thanks for the reply, sorry i replied late,  wel i hope its a good thing, my heart beats remaining .at 60, i was getting alot of palptatins at one point, but for the past few days i havent had any, maybe it was anxiety, its odd though i still have high cholestrol, wel its almost normal as i been working on lowering it, can my heart still become healthy if i have high cholestrol? wel im on the way to normal levels hopfully soon.
