I didn't know one measured the atrial fibrillation/flutter rate, but it sure sounds like that is what is going on.
I am in permanent AFib, and so the rate could be counted I'd guess. It has never been counted, the only concern has been to control the ventricle rate. I do well if it is below 80 at rest.
I believe I have read post about ablated or adjacent areas of the heart start conducting some time after an ablation. I assume the AV node is not such a case, but I do not know.
