heart rhythm problems need answers

I too have recently joined this site and 'yes' the information and the postings from all members are extremely helpful which is comforting, considering I am trying to research information for my husband and his Afib.  I have so many questions for the Cardiologist, particularly after doing additional research, that sometimes he will look as though I am creating more problems for him to properly diagnose/prescribe meds...etc.
The point I am trying to make is: is there a thread I can start to gather info. from others who are also in my predicament--trying to be a champion for their partner and take on an assertive position vs. complete acceptance to the Dr.'s blanket regimen?   I explained that my husband was drug sensitve early on, but until several heart meds and dosage changes later (8 months) he is now starting to listen.  In the mean time, the one that should be reaping the benefit initially is the patient, my husband.  
Thanfully, I am gaining insight from this community.  We have an appt. w/ a Dr. at the CL next week.  I would appreciate any info. from anyone else that has had good reports or successful ablations there to send me to help with our appt. next week.

Being "assertive" with your or your husbands doctor may not be a good objective.  

The best advice I can offer is to ask questions that make the doctor part of the solution.  Ask for what you want and need in such a way that the doctor has to take ownership of the outcome.  

Now my question:  Where is "CL"?  I suppose anyone who has had an ablation there will know, but others who have had successful ablations elsewhere may be of some help too.
