There is no doctor on this forum. There is a seperate forum where you can ask a doctor a question (Ask an Expert) but it will take some time for a doctor to respond.
The other is that your heart may have skipped a beat. This is commonCommon cold. You may be having some anxiety over what you read on the machine. Were you okay before you took the reading? If so, you should be fine.

There are a few things that will make those machines register an irregular heart rate. The main reasons are moving or talking while a measurment is being taken. Were you moving or talking when you were checking your BP? You may have also had the cuff too loose or too tight on your arm. You should be able to slip two fingers between the cuff and your arm on both the top and the bottom of the cuff to get an accurate reading.

Good luck to you.
