But the answer to your question is, yes. heat can cause your heart rate to increase but I would have it checked out by a doctor just to be on the safe side.
When the body gets hot it dilates blood vessels to increase blood flow to the skin to attemp to cool your body and that increases your heart rate. When it is hotter than 98.6 degrees out you can only lose heat by sweating, so you need to keep hydrated.
