heat beats and more

Hey all. New to this .

Around or just over 2 years ago i experienced something one night that truly freaked me out and made me go to A&E.
I was hope just chilling on my computer when I noticed I was taking random deep breaths. This also gave me slight tingling feeling in Left arm then bang! Light headed, heart was racing and I started to panic. My friend was with me at the time and thank god for that. I managed to calm down went and had a shower etc, 15 mins later it started again. I was in fear it was a heart attack. We walked to A&E and after hrs of waiting I was first seen by a nurse , then a DR and was connected to a ECG machine, blood test , sugar levels and lungs tested. All came back normal. I was shocked.  The next day I was going to meet a friend for coffee and my heart just started beating so fast and it was like I was going to go crazy!  I was getting this on and off most of the day . I went to my Gp who ran full blood test and blood pressure and all was normal. Its now been over 2 years and at that time he said it was anxiety and he did not want me on pills. I dont mind that.

I have not had that experience again , but i do get random heart beat like a single beat that I feel , sometime my chest feels nervous but NEVER any pain. One time it felt like my left arm was being squeezed. That has stopped.

I sometime feel my nose randomly out of no ware gets stuffy . I again went to see my GP just to mention i still get this random heart beat that at times gives me a sensation in my throat . Its all so odd. ;/

thank you for your advice , will talk to my new gp about it just signing up with them next week. I tend to drink only decafe now but i know i have a sweet tooth for fizzy drinks and sweets lol. with any luck it wont be anything to worrying . I might have a bit of stress in the back of my mind that might not be helping. Thanks again for your view on my question :)

Sounds like some kind of tachycardia. My suggestion is to see a cardiologist who will most likely want to capture one of your tachy events or arrythmias on an event monitor. That is the only way you'll know for sure what it is. Many of us have experienced what you just explained: going to a doctor, run through all the test, and find out everything is fine. I did for 20+ years until I finally went to an electophysiologist and finally got some help and answers.

Another thing that many of us have found is that different foods or drinks trigger the arrythmias. Some common triggers are caffeine, alcohol, stress, msg, and other things that are less common. Hope this helps and good luck.
