I know the chest pain must be uncomfortable but if you are not passing out or having a lot of difficulty breathing then that is a good sign your heart is tolerating what is going on well. The pain could partly be tied into anxiety about the issue. I also forgot to mention if you have any stomach issues like acid reflux try to address that. Oddly enough stomach issues can cause the heart to act up by putting pressure on the vagus nerve. Well please do let us know the results of your monitor and just try to do some deep breathing to help you relax. Take care.
hello,
you are probably getting Ectopic PVCs or PACs or both. Usually benign if your tests have shown no Heart disease. Like the above posts, you probably should be monitored (Holter) and diagnosed, then enjoy some peace of mind. My own Ectopic beats have been going on in this particular cycle for going on four months now. the less worry, the better. best to you, and the beats are unnerving as can be, but try not to let your worry take over.
No, i have not worn a heart monitor yet, tho i'm goin to soon, and your comments made me feel a bit better, thank you alot, thinking of how dangerous what i have could be is really stressing, that could be another reason why i'm not getting better yet!
sounds like ectopic beats like premature ventricular contractions or premature atrial contractions. Can't tell based on your description, needs to be caught on an ECG. if your tests are coming back fine then you probably need to wait it out, most of the time it gets better on it own.
The only way you will truly know what is going on is to have it captured on a heart monitor. Have you worn one for 24 hours or a month? The 24 hour monitors record all your activity for a 24 hour period the month versions will just record events. If you have not had a monitor or if what you are feeling was never captured by one it is best to persist on getting one until you have caught what you are feeling. This way you will know exactly what your heart is doing. The good news is, it sounds like your heart is structurally normal. This means that whatever you are feeling is not likely to be a danger to you. A lot of people have what is called ectopic beats, they are just extra beats called pacs or pvcs. In any otherwise healthy heart they are no danger. But they can be unnerving and uncomfortable. Things to avoid are caffeine, energy drinks, sugary foods and foods high in carbohydrates. As well minimize the stress in your life as that will make them worse. I suspect the drugs you took may have trigger a spot in your heart to fire off an extra beat. Now that this spot has been triggered it is vulnerable to going off again and again but your heart is a strong muscle and can handle it. If things get worse or the pain becomes extreme do not hesitate to go back to your doctor to let them know. As well go for a second opinion if you need more peace of mind that what you are feeling isn't a threat to your health. Best of luck getting a handle on this and feeling better soon. Take care.
