how about that?

Is it normal for a person with any type of tachycardia to pass out when their heart speeds up, and if so how serious is it??

Yes it can happen, but this is the type of thing that should be evaluated by a doctor.  The most common type of passing out, neurocardiogenic syncope, can also be associated with the heart rate speeding up before you pass out.  the heart rate can also slow down before you pass out.  it is important to look at the whole clinical situation when determining the cause and treatments for passing out.  More information is necessary to determine if it is serious or not -- EKG, sometimes an echo, stress test and/or Holter (24 hour heart rate / rhythm monitor).

I hope this helps.
