it can be - and the vagus nerve can be related to ANS problems, have you have any neurological problems in teh past?
well, they went away as abruptly as they came. How very ODD the past 2 days have been. You know what I did to make them go away? I ate something. Thats it. I had a baked potato. Within 30 minutes of eating that they slowed and disappeared. So, with my stomach issues of the past 2 days, I have learned ALOT about my palpitations.
1- they were REALLY aggravated by excessive stomach gas because that is when they really fired up big time on Sunday..and lasted all day.....finally at night I took alka seltzer, and they disappeared within an hour..and 2- when my system was all out of whack from NOT eating and/or drinking..that irritated my heart as well, and fired it back up. I eat something bland...and away they go. Would this relate to the "Vagus Nerve" that Ive read about but dont really know too much about..?
Im uneasy about today--i hope they dont come back as I get up and moving here today. Time will tell.
Those darn things. They just never quite leave us alone.
no one can answer how many is too many only your doctor or ER can; we can tell you what we've gone through or what our doctors say, but each case is so unique, and if you have underlying issues it may make your care different
sometimes what we feel may be more or less than what is actually going on inside and stress or anxiety over these dreaded things can only make it worse...I used to handle them very wel;l even with my enormous amount I was having, but after I had an ablation and developed depression, I can't handle them like I used to - it may be useful for you to talk to your dr about anxiety or stress over them and they can prescribe an ssri to help with those issues
Sorry to read you're experiencing an increase in palps... but it is good to read you medication normally helps.
I think your number of palps is not so high that, in the absence of other heart symptoms, would suggest a trip to ER. But you have to be the one to decide, I have no way of knowing how troubling the palps are. Perhaps by the time you read this something will have changed. I hope the change is for the better so you can get back to normal, or better than normal.
