Its always good to check the side effects of any drugs you are taking if you have symptoms of any kind. Go to drugs dot com and read about the side effects. The drug "Syntrhoid" you are taking could be the answer to your symptoms, read below:
Cardiovascular
palpitations, tachycardia, arrhythmias, increased pulse and blood pressure
Hi,
By definition, Tachycardia occurs when the ♥ heart rate exceedes 100 Beats per minute, obviously yours does.
One of your medications is a Beta Blocker, the other apparently a Calcium Channel Blocker. Have you any history of heart disease? Has the same Doctor prescribed both medications?
There are other classes of medications known as Angiotensin II Antagonists. One that I take, Diovan, is available in versions with or without Hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ, a diuretic). Also, there are ACE Inhibitors. (Angiotensin Converting Enzyme). Both have been effective in lowering blood pressure, has your Doctor tried you on one of these?
Ask your Doctor if it might be more effective to try one of the Drug Families mentioned above, and if successful, perhaps he/she can discontinue either the Inderal LA or the Norvasc. It may be possible to significantly increase the dosage the one that he/she decided to keep you on, perhaps a lower Heart Rate would be achievable then.
Also, physical condition and age may effect your Heart Rate. Do you get much exercise, are you at your desired weight, are you young or maturing?
Best wishes for a ♪♪ Happy Holiday Season ♫♫.
