increasing leg pain post EP study

increasing leg pain post EP study

Hi all...

I had an EP study done about a week ago (Wed. Dec 1st) and since then I have been having increasing pain on my right leg (where they went in). In fact, moving and walking now hurts more than it did on the day after my procedure. I'm a bit worried about the fact that my pain is increasing although there are no signs on infection, in fact I barely even have a bruise at the site! So I'm a bit confused as to why it is so sore.

It seems to hurt the worst when my leg is straight and with weight on it, so I can try to avoid that but I really can't avoid moving or walking and I'm afraid if this continues to get worse I won't be able to move or walk!

My whole situation is a bit complicated and it is difficult for me to contact my doctor and I really don't want to go though the headache of getting an appointment to see him is this is normal. What are your thoughts on this?

Thanks!

I had mine done 11/16 and there's still a little pain.  It gets worse before it gets better! What you want to look for is a cold or tingling lower leg or foot.  That could be a sign of a blood clot which would require immediate attention. Give it 2 weeks to feel better.
