irregular beats

I sometimes have an irregular heart beat. It just seems to flutter. It hurts a bit and almost takes my breath. Is this anything to worry about? Been happening for years. I am 33 years old and female.

You didn't mention any discussion with a medical doctor.  I recommend you talk with your primary doctor, family doctor, for a start.

Many people have irregular heart beats and for most it isn't serious, but you said "takes my breath", that's more than simple irregular beats.  

Good luck, hope it is something you can live with...bet that it goes away on its own.  Don't count on it, talk to a doctor.
