low blood presure

by jan30, Dec 30, 2008 07:21AM
My dad is 62 years of age.  On mornings after awaking and he checks his blood pressure, his pulse rate is
usually low.  This morning it was 44 beats per min.  What is the problem?

Is the low Heart Rate (HR) of 44 a change?  What did it used to be.

With just that one fact, HR=44 in the morning the only thing I can conclude is a very strong cardiovascular system, good news.

If, however, the rated doesn't go up when he is up and about, and if he has other problems, shortness of breath, tired, dizzy, then there may be a problem.
