low heart rate and palpatations

by murrj, Aug 24, 2008 12:00PM
Hi.  I am a 63 year old female.  I have been having a lot of heart palpatations.  I have just worn a halter and it came back with low heart rate.  these palpatations started with gallbladder trouble.  had it removed 1 1/2 years ago.  i have not heard many people with palpatations and low heart rate.  and there is the vegas nerve.  does this have anything to do with the low heart rate?  and if so what can i do. i had a low heart rate yesterday morning(49) felt very weak.   i also have digestion problems. i have appointment with cardiologist this week.  is there anything for low heart rate other than pace maker.  and if you get pacemaker do these palpations fight with pacemaker.  i would really like some help. thanks

This does not sound that unusual, but it is probably good that you are talking to a doctor about this anyway. I hope things work out well for you.
