Thank you for answering, it is good to know others feel similar symtoms as I get a faint feeling too although I have not passed out.
Thank you for your feedback and experience.
I have to go to the doctor friday as I have been having some palpitations so will have a talk to him.
I am grateful for your concern and enlightenment about the electro cardioversion . I think at the time it was mentioned I had met so many people that had it and they returned to how they were before they had it, and one person was much worse, but we are all different and what is good for one is not sometimes good for another. However I will talk to my doctor Friday, and thank you again.
If you are not taking anything to reduce blood clotting, that is your risk, not getting an electrocardioversion.
Now I will admit, electrocardioversion is not permanent, I've had 4 of them over the years. Two each lasted over 1.5 years, giving me 3 years of NSR. That should be enough time to get an ulcer cured.
I have do not have any of the symptoms you mention, and at this point I am in AFig and take warfarin and Metroprolol to control heart rate, reduce it.
I believe you are at great risk, something like 3% a year, of getting a blood clot if you are living with untreated AFib. I don't know what the risk of electrocardioversion is, I'd bet it is way under 1%. This is a simple defibrillation process.
I had a-fib for years and never have I had a symptom of tingling in my hands. But everybody is different. I was very symptomatic with my a-fib. I had shortness of breath, dizzyness, and would pass out when I had a severe attack.
