Last week I started again to miss heart beats, not as bad as when I was first diagnosed but about one in every 9 beats then 11 and so on. Had a really bad day yesterday feeling so weak and ill all day, but ok today.Hand still tingly. Doc said I have to go to hospital again for another 24 hrs monitor.
Thank you all so much for replying and giving support.
hi, being one-sided would seem to be the biggest clue. In that case, you'd think of some structural problem in that arm. I myself have damaged my right elbow via weightlifting, and now I get some occasional numbness in my right hand - just as I did last winter. I'm guessing it's returned because the weather is getting cold again. It's irritating :)
I get similar symptoms - cold, tingly hands and feet - when I'm not careful with my Sotalol dosage. Beta blockers will do this to some people but I can't say why the propafenone would suddenly start to have this effect if it hasn't in the past. Have you increased the dosage or changed the time of day when you take it? Have you recently started taking it on an empty stomach (vs after eating)?
I would not associate the numb hand with the AFib, or the medication. I could, of course, be wrong.
Sounds like some circulatory problem, can you associate the numbness with any activity or lack thereof? You may be doing something that is restricting the circulation.
Sorry I can't be of more help, maybe othes will respond with more helpful information.
